During my final years of high school and into my first couple years of college, I suffered with horrible acne. If you’ve ever had bad acne, then you understand how it sucks the soul right out of you.
I was afraid to talk to girls. I avoided social gatherings. I quite literally just wanted to hide in my apartment to avoid showing my face to anyone.
I tried every treatment imaginable… creams, pills, potions, lotions, dermatologists, prescription meds. Nothing worked, or at least worked permanently.
Fed up with doctors and treatments that didn’t work, I decided if I was going to get rid of my acne, then it was up to me to figure it out.
I spent all those nights holed up in my apartment researching, looking for something, anything, that might point me in the right direction.
Then finally, I stumbled across a forum post on acne.org (where I was a frequent visitor) that changed everything. The post talked about how green smoothies can help you get clear skin.
“Huh?” I thought to myself. How can what I’m eating have an effect on my acne?
I wasn’t convinced, but I was also out of options. I decided to give the green smoothies a shot.
At the same time, I began researching nutrition and discovered that I had a great deal of passion for the subject. I also became a frequent visitor at my college gym.
Over the course of several months, my face began to clear up. It didn’t happen overnight, but it did happen. It was the only thing I found that worked for me long term.
And here I am, over a decade later and still enjoying clear skin.
We all have our health challenges. For me it was acne (which was a blessing in disguise as it helped me discover my passion for health & wellness).
But for you, it might be something else. Perhaps you want to lose fat. Or maybe you want to add some lean muscle (as I do). Or quite possibly you want to get off your prescription meds.
Whatever your health goal, chances are there is something here that can help you.
